Abstract
The political processes triggered in Ukraine in late November 2013 led to radical changes in the country. The protests targeted initially against the policy of the government that abandoned the EU association have grown into coup. Аs a result the power in Kiev was seized by representatives of the radical nationalist parties. The consequences of their governance were the civil war in the southeastern regions of Ukraine, aggravation of the Russian-Ukrainian relationships and Kiev orientation to Western countries. And the West, seeking its own geopolitical pursuits, welcomes the changed foreign political course of Ukraine and worsening of its relations with Russia.
